There are lots of couples that have been trying to conceive for months or years and still have not had success. Getting pregnant is all about timing.
Once a month normally right between a women’s menstrual cycle she ovulates. This is when an egg is released from the ovary and enters the fallopian tube and is able to be fertilized. At this time the lining on the uterus walls begins to thicken so that it is prepared for a fertilized egg. This is the best time to conceive!
Ok so sounds simple right we just need to make love at this time of the month and we will get pregnant. Well it’s not that simple! Ovulation can be hard to predict and may not always be easy to time. Lots of things such as woman’s health or stress levels can effect the ovulation. Other than just trying to use an ovulation calculator or calendar to try and predict when you will be ovulating, you can purchase an ovulation test that will tell you if you are ovulating. It is also best for your partner to not ejaculate too much before trying to conceive it is best to make sure as much sperm as possible is released inside the women because this also increases the chances.
The best time to try and conceive is anywhere from two days before or no longer than 24 hours after the egg is released. This is because the sperm cells can live anywhere from 2-3 days but an egg can only live for up to 24 hours unless fertilized. Once you have figured out when the best time for you to conceive is the best thing to do is start trying. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get pregnant right away, it takes time! It can take up to a year for an average healthy couple to become pregnant. If you have been trying for over a year believe you are timing everything right and nothing is working you can always get a fertility test done you may need help in becoming pregnant but chances are you just need to keep trying.
